Translating Feedback

Most people can’t tell you exactly what’s wrong.

The comments were “it’s a bit small.”

“I’m worried my furniture won’t fit in.”

“It’s a nice layout, but...”

Hubby is a realtor, and had agreed to host an open house at this location. I walked in and immediately said what everyone felt, but couldn’t put their finger on:  why was there three dining spaces?

The “formal” dining space, the bar and the “informal” space - in this case, the flippers has the furniture, so they put it in. After a quick consultation, I removed the informal setting, and staged a small area on the bar to showcase the informal eating space. The immediate result?

A huge living space.

And a very spacious layout.

Comments went from “too small” to “spacious” and “beautiful.”  Whereas the bar was hidden by the smaller dining set, it now received star billing.

Buyers often can see “what” is wrong, they simply know how to share feelings. Translating those feelings into usable action steps is what we specialize in at Copy Kate’s!
